By dint of putting our hands in the machines, we have realized that they oblige us, out of circumstances, to push the limits of the conceptual framework in which our thinking unfolds: organic vs. inorganic, thinkable vs. unthinkable, identities vs. differences, human vs. non-human, alive vs. inert … Machines inhabit our collective imagination in an ambivalent way, both as instruments of unlimited submission and as essential levers of emancipation in a world in the throes of collapse. This is what interests us. In our essay film, we want to show the computational machine in all its equivocity. By showing clearly that this takes us a further step towards a new cosmology, where humans are no longer at the center.
